Cathy Mally Carney, age 58, of Stratford, beloved wife of Daniel J. Carney, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 in her home. Cathy was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Stanley and Hilda Marcic Mally and raised in Fairfield. She graduated from Andrew Ward High School class of 1973 and was a retired hairdresser operating her own salon. In addition to her husband she is survived by two beloved children, Daniel J. Carney Jr. and wife Melynda of Fairfield and Alicia Spencer and husband William of Charleston, SC, one brother, Alfred Mally and wife Vilma of Trumbull, a cherished granddaughter, Madison Carney and several nieces and nephews; also additional family in Europe and Australia. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. There will be no prior calling hours.
