Frederick Ferdinand Ehrsam Jr. age 79 of Trumbull passed away Monday March 6, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betsy” Brown Ehrsam. Born in Bridgeport, Fred was the son of the late Frederick F. and Veronica Brennan Ehrsam. He was a graduate of Canterbury School, received a Bachelors of Business Degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Vanderbilt Law. He owned his own Law Practice in Trumbull for many years. Fred was a past member of the Algonquin Club and Brooklawn Country Club and a longtime supporter of the Saint Patrick’s Scholarship Dinner in Bridgeport. Survivors in addition to his wife Betsy include his loving children, Frederick “Fritz” Ehrsam and his wife Alyssa of Fallston, MD, Karen Christman of Phoenixville, PA and Karl Ehrsam and his wife Mary Ellen of Westfield, NJ, grandchildren, Beckett and Anya Ehrsam, Haley Christman, Charles, James and Henry Ehrsam, his sister Ann Owens and her husband Howard, many nieces and nephews and his faithful pet King Charles Cavalier William. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Mary Deuschle. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30am meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Thursday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
