Geri Rozgonyi, age 85, of Milford, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on January 26 in Milford Hospital surrounded by her family.  Geri was born on January 29, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Bertha Ross, and moved to Black Rock at the age of 13.  She graduated from Bassick High School in 1949 and worked as a secretary at the Bassick Company, where she met her husband, James Rozgonyi.  Geri and Jim were married on June 19, 1953, and settled in Bridgeport.  In her later years, Geri worked in food services at G. Fox Restaurant and at the Jewish Home for the Elderly.  During her retirement, she enjoyed movies, TV, mall walking with her friends, and the company of her family and her cats CoCo and Serena.  Geri was a member of the Milford Senior Center “C” Club and the Young At Heart Group at the Black Rock Congregational Church in Fairfield. She especially loved babysitting for and spending time with her only grandchild, Michaela.  She is survived by her three children: Lori Rozgonyi and her fiancé, Billy Lafayette, of Mill Creek, WV; Jay Rozgonyi and his wife, Suzanne Solensky, of Stratford; and Lynn Zaffino and her husband, Michael Zaffino, of West Haven; her cherished granddaughter, Michaela Zaffino of West Haven, CT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was predeceased by her loving husband James Rozgonyi.  Friends are invited to call Monday from 4:00p.m., to 8:00p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
