To the Leverty Family,
It was an honor to know John. I had the pleasure of working with him on McGivney Center matters. In all ways he was so impressive: thoughtful, considerate and tirelessly compassionate. John was the kind of person who made all of us better. My deepest sympathies over your loss.

John was a very kind man. He and my father were very good friends and it was my very good fortune to have known him. He is now at peace in heaven with his old friend. At peace with the our Lord. God bless.

The Freeman Family were fortunate to live next door during the growing family years in Fairfield. John was the "Big Stretch" always there for his kids and saintly Mary Lou. God has a special place for big John
While we are 1500 miles away, the Leverty family are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless all of you!

Mary Lou, I am very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed knowing John on the tennis court when he subbed for you and when championing local zoning issues. What sadness for all your family.

To the Leverty family,
Mr. Leverty was a Management Member with the SBMA, he was such a wonderful, kind, warm, caring and dedicated man. I always called him Mr. Leverty and he would tell me he is John, and that Mr. Leverty was his dad. But I respected him and I could not bring myself to call him John, always Mr. Leverty. I would tell him before he left the office what a wonderful man he was and "Love you, Mr. Leverty" he would always smile and blush. I will miss him very much, he always came in with a smile. I am very lucky to have had the opportunity to have met him. May he rest in peace.

Ivette

I was sorry to read of John’s passing. We sat on a few charitable boards together and He was always the voice of reason and good humor. I always enjoyed bumping in to him which I will miss.

Mrs Lev, Dude, John, Ray, Tommy....words can not express how sorry I am to hear of your father's passing. You were all the 2nd family to use growing up! I will miss the big bear hugs your dad would give me. He always had a kind word and a smile for me! He was an amazing father, and great friend!
