Mary A. Sliva, age 91 of Trumbull, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 in Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. Mary was born in Trumbull on February 6, 1926, daughter of the late Peter and Katherine Paciorek Sliva, was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Bassick High School, Bridgeport. She retired from People’s Bank after thirty years of service. Mary enjoyed many years of traveling at home and abroad, reading and meeting with family and friends filled her days with joy. Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Stanley M., Peter M., Charles M., Sliva and wife Linda, Caroline A. Tilt and husband Frost, and Cecelia Sliva, all of Trumbull, and seventeen nieces and nephews, and many grand and great grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, John J. Sr., Stephen, Joseph, and Frank Sliva and sisters, Frances Galanek, Dorothy A. Smith. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Friday from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
