Robert M. Koch Sr., age 51 of Trumbull, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Christine Balestriere Koch. Born in Bridgeport, Bob was the son of John Koch Jr and Joycelyn Capozzi Koch. He was raised in Monroe before moving to Trumbull. Bob graduated from Bullard-Havens Technical High School and was a self-employed contractor. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his contagious smile. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his loving sons, Robert M. Koch Jr. and Andrew G. Koch, his brother, John Koch III and his wife Kimberly, sister, Jillaine Rogers and her husband Richard, mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Rocco Balestriere, brothers-in-law, Robert Balestriere and his wife Nina, and Daniel Balestriere and his wife Eve, sister-in-law, Victoria Bova and her husband Keith, many nieces and nephews and his devoted canine companion Crystal. Bob is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Sherman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
