Thomas S. Lawrence, Sr., age 70 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Mary Jane Pistey Lawrence, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Tom was a lifelong resident, son of the late Stuart Q. and Ethel Barney Lawrence. He was a graduate of Bassick High School, University of New Haven and a retired collection specialist with Collect Associates. An avid Yankee fan, he adored time spent with his grandchildren. In addition to Mary Jane, he leaves five loving children Marianne Gariglio and husband Joe of Stratford, Thomas S. Lawrence, Jr. and his significant other Toya Froman of Ansonia, Dawn Esmeraldo and husband Manny of Monroe, twin daughters, Janet Butz and husband John of Stratford, and Karen Lecointe and husband Julius of Stratford, a brother John Lawrence and wife Alison of Maine, a sister Cindy Plavnicky and husband Jack of New York, ten grandchildren Justin, Manny Jr., Tori, Steven, Joshua, Mateo, Jonathan, Katherine, Ava and Jayden, two nieces and three nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:15a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00a.m., in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Sunday from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., in the funeral home.
