Vincent F. Kaesmann, age 82 of Bridgeport passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Shelton Lakes. He was the beloved husband of Joan Gerte Kaesmann. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of George V.S. and Genevieve Morrissey Kaesmann and a lifelong city resident. He retired from Bridgeport Machines. Vincent was a volunteer in the Bridgeport School System and North End Little League. He enjoyed bowling at Nutmeg Bowl and was very active with the Naugatuck Valley Relay for Life. Survivors in addition to his wife Joan include his loving children, Margaret Samatulski and Steve Poulin, Thomas Kaesmann and Barbara Gonzalez, and Robert Kaesmann and his wife Carol, 8 grandchildren, Patricia Marini and her husband Vincent, Jillian Kaesmann, Amanda Prater and her husband Christopher, Evan Kaesmann and his wife Jessica, Jake Kaesmann and his wife Chelsea, Emma Kaesmann and Peter Mavilla, Zachary Kaesmann, Sean Poulin and Samantha Ross, 4 great grandchildren,  Dante, Gia, and Vincent Marini and Lucas Kaesmann, his sister Jean Wildman, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother George. His family wishes to thank Vincent’s amazing caregivers at St. Vincent’s Medical Center 9 South, the Infusion Center, Shelton Lakes and his personal caregivers Lynda, Jas, and Mary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00am meeting directly in Calvary St. George’s Episcopal Church, 755 Clinton Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
