Catherine Turney Strobel, age 84, of Easton, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. A lifelong Easton resident, she loved gardening and retired with 30 years of service as an executive secretary for General Electric. A loving wife and mother, she was predeceased by  husband, Charles W. Strobel Sr. and son, Charles “Chuck” W. Strobel II. Survivors include nephew Thomas P. Turney of Stratford, niece Catherine Serbin of Bridgeport, granddaughter Melissa Mackey, a great granddaughter and additional nieces and nephew. She was also predeceased by her brothers William F. Turney and Frederick Turney. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 11:00 a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
