Patricia Lavery Gleeson of Fairfield, devoted wife of Robert Gleeson passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 1, 2010. She was born on February 5, 1942 to the late Edward and Katherine McCormack Lavery. She was a retired teacher from the Diocese of Bridgeport after 28 years of service, teaching at Holy Rosary, Bridgeport, St. Andrew’s Bridgeport and spending 22 years at St. Catherine of Siena School in Trumbull. She was a graduate of Lauralton Hall and received her Bachelors Degree in History from Salve Regina University and a Masters Degree in Education from Fairfield University. In addition to her husband Robert she is survived by her children Coleen Noonan and her husband William of Scituate, MA, Dr. Shelagh Gleeson and her husband Richard Kucinskas of Virginia Beach, VA and Devin Gleeson and his wife Melanie of Edwardsville, IL. Patricia also leaves six cherished grandchildren, Liam, Seamus, Cailey, Aidan, and Finneas Noonan, and Maeve Gleeson. In addition she leaves her brother in law Reverend Stephen Gleeson of Trumbull. Patricia loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader and a member of the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 6, 2010 at 11:00am meeting directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Monday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
