Adeline LaBombard Doyle, age 89 of Woodbury died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin A. Doyle. Adeline was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on February 11, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Lea M (Gravelle) LaBombard. She spent most of her childhood living in Brooklyn, New York until she moved to Connecticut at the age of 18. During World War II she worked for General Electric making flight suites for the Army Air Corp, where she made many lifelong friends. She then became a dedicated administrative assistant for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education for 20 years. She had a passion for helping children and families in need and was a long time benefactor of St. Jude Children's Hospital. She is survived by her loving sons, Timothy P. Doyle and his wife Karen Ann of Woodbury and Kerry F. Doyle and his wife Elizabeth of Middlebury, six grandchildren, Tiffany Cooper and her husband Michael, Colleen, Jessica, Ryan, Christopher and Micaela Doyle, three great grandchildren, Aiden and Gavin Cooper, and Kaelan Doyle-Holter, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 37 years Edwin A. Doyle, her brothers Gerard, Edward and Donald LaBombard and her sisters Lea Marie (LaBombard) Kale and Laurette (LaBombard) Eckert. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Stephen's Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
