Alan J. Potz was born in Bridgeport, Ct on October 20, 1944. He attended Boston College and Fairfield University majoring in journalism. He wrote fiction and poetry and was employed for a time by both the Bridgeport Post and the New York Daily News. He lived in Brockton, MA for most of his life and died on September 10 of cancer. His parents were Elaine & Walter Potz, who predeceased him. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Diane York of Richmond, VA, his aunt and uncle, Joan & Louis Palmer of Charlottesville, VA, and his nephews and their families, David York of Emeryville, CA and George and Mary Catherine York of Lyons, CO and their two daughters, Katherine & Molly York of Lyons, CO.Funeral services will be held Friday, at 11:00 a.m., direct at St. Theresa Church, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
