Alexander Tenay Jr. age 83 of Stratford died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at St. Vincent's MedicalCenter after a long courageous battle with P.S.P. He was the beloved husband of Louise V. Tenay. and the son of the late Alexander Tenay Sr. and Rose (Nagy) Tenay. Born and raised in Fairfield he was a Trumbull resident for 45 years before recently moving to Stratford. Mr. Tenay was a graduate of Roger Ludlow High School and was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran serving in India during World War II. He worked for Prudential Insurance for 28 years and was a self employed builder operating as Alexander Builders. He was an active member of the Long Hill United Methodist Church since 1955 and was also involved with the Democratic Party, the Town Committee and Zoning Board of Appeals in Trumbull. In addition to his wife Louise he is survived by his sons, Ronald K. Tenay and his wife Bonnie and Mark A. Tenay, sisters, Malvina Gancsos, Rose Shay and her husband, Frank, and Jennie Hunter and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00am in LongHillUnitedMethodistChurch, 6358 Main Street, Trumbull with Reverend Elizabeth Schrader, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
