Obituary

Alexander G. Moreno, age 74, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Sally Slaughter Moreno, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009, in his home. Alexander was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Emanuel and Antonina Gonsalves Moreno and has lived in Fairfield since 1971. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the American Legion Post 143 and was a retired engineer for the Norden Corp., Norwalk. In addition to his wife Sally, he leaves a loving family; daughter, Deborah Moreno of Milford, son Daniel A. Moreno and wife Renee of Milford, stepdaughter, Janice S. Wood of Los Angeles, CA, stepson, Floyd R. Bell of Orlando, FL, four grandchildren, Taryn Burke and husband Tom Bogert, Michael Zanarini, Alexander Moreno and Jamie Moreno, all of Milford and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Antonio Moreno and two sisters, Buffetina Hart and Germaine Wesche. Friends are invited to attend funeral services Friday, June 12, 2009 at 11:00am meeting directly in St. Ann Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield, with full military honors. There will be no prior calling hours.
