Alexander Skultety, age 66 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully with his family by his side Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jackie Farrace Skultety. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Alexander and Catherine McClinch Skultety. He grew up in Fairfield and was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School where he played football and basketball. He went on to receive his B.A. degree from Sacred Heart University. For the last 37 years, Alex worked in purchasing at Perkin Elmer, Silicon Valley Group and most recently at ASML. Alex loved spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, cooking gourmet dinners and summer vacations with his family. He cherished the time spent with his grandson Logan and was looking most forward to the arrival of his grandchildren on the way. Alex is also survived by his loving daughters, Sara Lantowski and her husband Jim, and Caithlin Sullivan and her husband Brian, his grandson Logan Lantowski, sisters and brothers, Nancy Skultety, Tom Skultety and his wife Jann, Jim Skultety, and Kathy Lyddy and her husband Chris, sister-in-law Beth Peddle and her husband Joe, and all his nieces and nephews. The memory of his bright smile and friendly personality will warm our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
