Alice Dever, a longtime Bridgeport resident, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Peggy in North Port, FL on September 26, 2012. She was born Alice Zatko in Salem, OH, on August 12, 1921. She moved to Bridgeport in 1945 when she married her husband Frank Dever. They lived in Bridgeport, where they raised their four children, for many years. The Devers moved to North Port, FL, in 1979 where Alice resided until her death. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, a son William, and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Beers and Peggy Bruner, both of North Port, FL, and a son Daniel Dever of Cambridge, NY, and three grandchildren Christopher Beers, Timothy Beers, and Ceara Dever. She is also survived by one sister, Helen Powers and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be announced in the spring.
