Alice Poirier Miklus, age 86, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Albert S. Miklus, died, Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mrs. Miklus was born in Lowell, MA, to the late Henry J. and Dorilda Bousquet Poirier and was a resident of Fairfield for the last 50 years. She was a deputy clerk for the GAII State of Connecticut Judicial Department. Survivors include her devoted children, a daughter Elaine Tatem and husband Robert of Fairfield, a son Craig Miklus and wife Leslie of Shelton, her special niece Barbara Sommers and husband Charles of Milford, eight grandchildren, Robert, Christine, David and Jeffrey Tatem, Joseph, Matthew and Michael Miklus and Darrick Sommers, ten great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 am in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
