Alice Elizabeth (Zdyb) Repay - Betty, 97, of Bridgeport, Ct, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, at St Joseph's Center, in Trumbull. She was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Stalowski) Zdyb. Betty was born November 28, 1926, at home in Laurel, Long Island, New York. She spent her formative years on her family's farm in Jamesport NY., to which she always attributed her long life. After graduating from Riverhead H.S., she attended secretarial college and worked as a secretary in the offices of the Archdiocese of Brooklyn, NY. She married Joseph Repay on June 2, 1951 and together they enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Living in Bridgeport, she had many happy times there with family, her cats, friends, and neighbors. Betty also enjoyed going back for visits to the family farm in Jamesport. Betty is survived by her son, Richard, his wife, Ellen; daughter-in-law Sandy Ventura; grandchildren Nicholas (Natasha), Amy (Mike), Alicia, Christie (Mark), and Andrew (Lauren); and great-grandchildren J.J., Myles, Tyler, Reid, Brooke, Lenox, and Paige. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe, and son Jim. Mom will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the   compassionate caregivers, staff, and fellow residents at St. Joseph's Center, who never failed to stop by for the visits and chats that Betty loved! All are welcome to join our family for calling hours Tuesday, July 23rd from 9:00am – 10:15AM at Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, Ct., with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 359 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport Tuesday at 11:00am.  Interment will be private at the family's convenience.
