Alicia K Kronick (Bennett) – Our Musical Mother
Alicia Kaye Kronick (Bennett), 70, a beloved mother, cherished musician and nanny, passed away from cardiac arrest on the evening of January 3rd, 2026. She was born May 1, 1955, as an identical twin sister in Mattoon, Illinois to Marion and Constance Elaine Bennett. Alicia was a studied musician most of her life and mother to five children. She was an avid writer of both poetry and short stories, belonging to local writing groups, as well as a long-time member of the church sharing the love of the Lord with those she knew.
Alicia earned a Bachelor of Music from University of Missouri and was classically trained on not only piano but also the violin. Alicia was always involved in various community groups, like Westport Women’s League, the Tuesday Afternoon Music Club and a local member of various churches in Connecticut, including Black Rock Congregational, Calvary Church and Walnut Hill. But her reach far exceeded the east coast as she was well travelled between Hawaii and even Japan and Morocco as a missionary nanny to a wonderful family and leading worship at Women’s Aglow Fellowship. She always had a heart to serve in and outside the church.
Apart from her musical and writing endeavors, she was fond of spending time at the beach, afternoon tea with friends, cooking, cross-stitch, reading, and weekly bible studies. Her favorite bible verse was Psalm 18:16-20. She was a piano teacher for a portion of her life. In her later years, she was a nanny to various families in Fairfield County. She always had a deep love in her heart for children.
Alicia is survived by her five children: Natalie, Rebecca, Joshua, Caleb and Aaron (Lauren Maslen), as well as their three grandchildren: Jeremy, Brock and Celine. Her surviving siblings include Timothy (Joyce) Bennett, Teresa Kawamoto and Jeffery (Deborah) Bennett.
A formal memorial is being planned, and details will be published at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Estate of Alicia Kronick, mailed to Alicia Kronick, 102 Turkey Roost Rd, Monroe, CT 06468. Any donation in her honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital is greatly appreciated.
