Dr. Alyce R. O'Neil Muldoon of Bridgeport died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at home. Born in Bridgeport January 7, 1922, she attended St. Augustine's School, and graduated from St. Charles School in 1935 and Warren Harding High School in 1939. She graduated from Temple University School of Chiropody in Philadelphia, PA, in 1943. She opened a practice in Bridgeport that flourished for over 50 years. For the last 25 of those years she shared her practice on North Main Street with her dear sister Dr. Margaret M. O'Neil. She was a member of the Fairfield County Podiatry Association, and a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church for over 50 years. Alyce was dedicated to her family and patients. She loved to cook and entertain. Most importantly she had great faith and was a daily communicant for most of her life. She is survived by her loving daughter Geraldine A. Muldoon of Fairfield, CT, her loving son Dr. Lawrence D. Muldoon and his wife Meg Sweeney Muldoon, grandchildren Dan, Jack, Molly, Kate and Nan Muldoon and Adam Muldoon Safi; nieces Brigid M. Smith of Easton, CT, Mary Ellin Smith of Newton, MA, Meg Smith of Roslindale, MA, and Meg's partner Hillary Crane-Stern and great-niece Grace Ann Yi Smith and great-nephew Max Smith-Stern. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence D. Muldoon, Sr., in 1970, her brother Dr. John J. O'Neil and sisters Kay O'Neil Smith and Dr. Margaret M. O'Neil. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 851 North Avenue, Bridgeport CT. 06606, and a celebration will follow. Interment will be private.
