Anamae Loretta Kronus Dolan, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Everitt P. Dolan M.D., died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in her home. Born in Bridgeport on May 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Anna Elizabeth Howard. She was the beloved mother of her favorite daughters Beth, Judith, Mary Ellen, Tracey and her husband Tim Collins, Maureen and Tara and grandmother of, Annie, Tara, Patrick, Timothy, Liam, Ryan, Zachary, Luke and Seth. She is also survived by her favorite nephew William C. Mohs, sister Ruth Dermody and numerous nieces as well as her beloved companions Wishbone, Cleo, and Sulphie Chicken. In addition to her husband and parents her sisters Evelyn, Elsie, Rosemarie, and Lillian predeceased her. She was a graduate of Warren Harding High School, St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing and attended Boston University. An avid golfer and bowler, she was a member of Brooklawn Country Club, the Algonquin Club, St. Vincent's Hospital Auxiliary, St. Joseph's Manor Auxiliary and the Stratfield Garden Club. She loved animals especially dogs, fall in New England and Bermuda, as well as gardening, china painting, Scrabble and knitting. Her kindness and generosity were surpassed only be her ability to make all people feel genuinely loved and special. She had a talent for decorating and painted the interior of her homes so often that her husband often commented that the rooms were smaller and smaller every time he came home from work. She looked forward to cooking Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas "cool yules" and always saved the end pieces for her favorite daughter, Beth. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00am direct to Our Lady of the Assumption Church 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial.
