Obituary

Angelo J. Longo, age 88 of Monroe died February 27, 2007 in California. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita Spano Longo. Born in Pittston, PA to the late Anthony and Antoinette Agnello Longo, he has been a Monroe resident for the past 45 years. Mr. Longo was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran serving in India during World War II. He was a supervisor at Lycoming in Stratford for 22 years retiring in 1984. He was also an active member of the Monroe Senior Center. Survivors include his three sons, Anthony, Joseph and Michael Longo, brothers Sam and James Longo, sister Kathryn Puma, nine grandchildren Nicole, Kimberly, Nanette, Dawn, Andrea, Crystal, Tommy, Jack and Lyndsey, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00am directly in St. Stephen Church with a Mass of Chrsitian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Monroe Center Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-9pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
