Anna L. Mellow (Anne) died Thursday evening, May 19, 2016 at The Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center, Shelton, Connecticut. Born in Bridgeport, on October 10, 1933, Anna was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport graduating from Central High School and attending the University of Bridgeport. Anna was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Gwendoline Mellow. She became a health care worker devoting her life to caring for others. She was employed at Bridgeport Hospitals for a number of years. For twenty plus years she served as a dialysis supervisor at DaVita Dialysis Center in Bridgeport. Anna was a gregarious people person who loved her family, friends and her work. She enjoyed cooking for everyone and anyone, especially her brothers, nieces and nephews. In turn, she was loved by them and immediately liked by all who met her. Anna is survived by a sister; Thelma Clark of North Port, Florida and four brothers; Benjamin Jr.(Mary) of Bridgeport, Earl (Mary) of Las Vegas, NV, Leo (Leah) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Michael (Gail) of Bridgeport. In addition to her sister and brothers; Anna leaves behind eight nephews and seven nieces, and eleven great nephews and nieces.  She is predeceased by three siblings, brothers, Alfred and Joseph and a sister, Doris. She will be missed by all who knew her, old and new friends alike who enjoyed her quick wit and the laughter and joy that she brought to their lives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 9:15am, from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00am, in St. Augustine Cathedral, 359 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 8:30am to 9:15am, in the funeral home.
