Anne Nilan Tartaro age 82 of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Frederick Tartaro, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 in her home. Anne was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Patrick and Anna Cody Nilan. She retired from the Warnaco Company as a secretary, and was an active parishioner of St. Stephen Church. Anne is survived by her devoted children John Tartaro and his wife Shirley of Monroe, and MaryAnn Ward and her husband Steven of Trumbull. She thoroughly enjoyed her four cherished grandchildren Thomas and Lisa Ward, Katelyn and Ryan Tartaro. She is also survived by two brothers Thomas Nilan and his wife Shirley and Robert and his wife Joan both of Shelton, a brother-in-law John Tartaro and his wife Lorraine of Palm Coast, FL, a sister-in-law Nancy Tartaro of Westport, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister; John and James Nilan and Nora Bergen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4 at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Stephen Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
