Barbara Jean Bayne R.N., age 67 of Trumbull passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 01, 2013 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, surrounded by her devoted family. Born in Columbus, Ohio on April 20, 1946 she was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy Valentine.  She was a Trumbull resident for over 30 years. Barbara was a Registered Nurse who worked at St. Vincent's Medical Center and St. Joseph's Manor before her retirement. She knew after losing her own mother at a young age that nursing was her true calling in life. Barbara enjoyed travelling to Boston and Atlantic City, spending as much time with her daughters and family as she could. She is survived by her loving and heartbroken daughters, Erika and Randi Bayne of Trumbull, and by her extended family: Lardicia Flanders, Carla Flanders, Shari Flanders and the rest of the Flanders family. Not to be excluded is the family dog, Meesha, whom Barbara absolutely adored. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11:00a.m., in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family at 10:00a.m., until service time.
