September 18, 1933 – April 8, 2025
Barbara E. Wadell, age 91, formerly of Trumbull, who had been in declining health for a few years, passed away on April 8, 2025, at the Orange Health Center, Orange. Born in 1933 in Bridgeport, she was predeceased by her parents Carl and Eleanor Wadell, sisters Joan Person and Carol Wadell, and a niece Pamela Person. Barbara leaves behind a niece Kimberly (Jeffrey) McClellan of South China, ME, and a nephew Darren Person of California. Barbara was a graduate from Hillhouse High School and Boston University, where she received a degree in Physical Therapy. In the past, Barbara worked for doctors in Norwalk and Fairfield. Throughout her life she once traveled for three months in a motorhome seeing the U.S. She also cruised to Europe visiting several countries and thoroughly enjoyed her annual visit to West Yarmouth, Cape Cod. An avid golfer at D. Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course, once a champion, and will leave behind many life-long friends. Barbara had a great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by her best friend Joan Morin. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, April 14, in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and 4 Gorham Place, Trumbull, from 10:30a.m. to 12:00p.m., with a prayer service at 11:30a.m. Interment will be private.
