Barry Patrick Connelly age 72 of Leicester, MA and formerly Ansonia, passed on to eternal life on July 19, 2012.  Barry was born in Bridgeport on June 16, 1940, son of the late Roger and Anamae McGovern Connelly.  He proudly served six years in the United States Marine Corp from 1957-1963 and retired from Wonder Bread and Hostess Brands.  Barry loved spending time with family members at Penfield Beach Club, Fairfield. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved to play the drums and banjo. Barry married Jacqueline Bruno Connelly of Trumbull in 1969 and leaves their only child Colin and wife Kerri of Rockville Centre, NY.  He was a proud grandpa to granddaughter, Kiera.  He is also survived by two sisters; Mary O'Brien and husband Ray of Hingham, MA and Barbara Milo of Bridgeport; one brother, Roger Connelly and wife Pat of Ansonia, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Sally Ann Sherwood and husband Bob of Fairfield, Delores Goldeman and husband Bill of PA, and a brother-in-law Hank Milo of Bridgeport.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow with military honors at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.  Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
