Obituary

Bartholomew (Bart) Amoroso, age 83, of Bridgeport, passed away, Saturday, September 12, 2009, in his home.  Bart was born in Torrington, son of the late Domenic and Philomena Marciano Amoroso.  A Marine Veteran of World War II, Bart retired from Apex Tool, as a tool and die maker.  He is survived by seven beloved brothers and sisters, Domenic Amoroso Jr. and wife Virginia, of Trumbull, Joseph Amoroso of Trumbull, Anthony Amoroso and wife Marge of Bridgeport, and Felix (Phil) Amoroso and wife Joyce of Shelton, Mary Saccol and husband Reno of Florida, Antoinette (Toni) Avery and husband Craig of Trumbull and Ann Sampeiri and husband John of Bridgeport.  He was predeceased by a sister, Carmella Croteau and a sister-in-law, Audrey Amoroso.  Bart is also survived by is loving nieces and nephews, Joyce Chalfin, Beverly Persky, Michelle Amoroso, Jay and Jeffery Amoroso, Alfred Croteau Jr., Sandra Albini, Tammy Barletta, Dawn Daniels, Christine Gill, Anthony Amoroso Jr., Patricia  Syrotiak, Michael Amoroso, Keith Avery, Tracy Baden, Kelley Graham, Melissa and Danielle Samperi, and many great nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  There will be no prior calling hours.  In lieu of flowers please make contributions in his memory to Adopt-A-Soldier's Room, c/o Linda Zema, President of Armed Forcez Wingz, 5017 N.
