Betty Reder, age 83, of Bridgeport, passed away January 9, 2013, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Betty was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Walter G. Sr. and Rose Plokstis Reder. She retired from the Norwalk Board of Education as a secretary for the Art and Music Departments. Survivors include her beloved sister Jane Kiley of Bridgeport, a nephew Gary A. Redder of Bridgeport, two nieces Sharon Feola of Spring Hill, FL and Kathleen Maraia of Milford, seven grand nieces and nephews Jamie and Daniel DeLoma, Michael, Daniel and Brian Feola, Alexandra and Danielle Redder; also two great grand nieces Alyssa and Alexandria Feola. Betty was predeceased by her brother Walter G. Redder Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., meeting directly in St. Patrick Church, 851 North Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no prior calling hours.
