On Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, Britney Harris-Bieder, 32, passed away as a result of a brain injury caused from a cardiac arrest earlier that week. Britney was being visited and comforted by her husband, family members and friends during her hospitalization and up until her passing.
Britney was born December 17th, 1990 in Jamaica, Queens, New York. She was the middle child of three; and first daughter of Sandra Brown and Michael Harris.
Britney was a kind and free-spirited soul that cared deeply for others. She was a great source of counsel to all that knew her. Britney was a humanitarian who spent most of her young adulthood advocating for victims of abuse & human trafficking as well as serving the youth of her community. Britney loved to travel abroad and learn different cultures. In her travels, she lived in Japan for 4 years where she taught English to Japanese youth. Upon her return to the U.S., she was baptized as a Seventh Day Adventist in 2021 and served as a volunteer teacher for Brooklawn SDA's Adventure Club alongside her mother.
Britney was raised in Valley Stream, Long Island until she was 14. Thereafter, she spent her remaining childhood years in Bridgeport, CT. Britney was survived by her husband (Evan Bieder), her one-year old child, her mother, her siblings (Triston Watson and Safiya Harris), her parent-in-laws (Erik Bieder, Renae Bieder, and Nancy Bieder), and a host of family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father, who passed in 2010.
Britney found a great joy in being a new mother to her son, a wife as well as serving the Lord and her community in the last few years. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 24, at 11:00a.m., in the Brooklawn Seventh-day Adventist Church, 250 Brooklawn Avenue, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family from 9:00a.m. to 10:45a.m., in the Church. Interment will be Monday at 11:00a.m., in the Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, Farmingdale, NY.
