Bruce Allen Fern Jr. passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2023. Bruce was loved by his family and friends. A graduate of Bullard Haven Technical High School, he pursued a career as an electrician, a carpenter, and later in heating and air conditioning. He had a gift for learning to do anything with his hands. There was virtually nothing he couldn't fix or construct. He loved construction not just for his career but for anything he could put true craftsmanship into. Perhaps his greatest joy was using his skills to help anyone and everyone who asked him. While we are deeply saddened by his loss, we find comfort in knowing Bruce is with Jesus. Bruce had a love of Dexter, Maine and will be laid to rest there with extended family. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Carol Fern, his children, Ashlee Eda and Seth Fern, and grandson Hezekiah Eda. As well as his four sisters, Marcia Williamson, Susan Rich, Sandra Platt and Carol Yauger and their families. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A service honoring Bruce's life will be held on April 29 at First Baptist Church of Fairfield, 65 Church Hill Road, Fairfield at 10am.
