Carl Mlinar, age 92 of Easton died on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. He was born in Easton on December 21, 1921 a son of the late Andrew and Maria Bachleda Mlinar, who moved from New Haven to Easton in 1908. Carl was the youngest of eight children and was a lifelong Easton resident. Survivors include three generations of nieces and nephews being 57 in number. He was a graduate of Bassick High School, Class of 1939. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in Sebring, Florida, England and France. He attained the rank of Sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the Congregational Church of Easton.  He began working in the Easton Town Hall in 1941 and retired in 1989. He served as Town Clerk for thirty four years. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:30am in the Congregational Church of Easton. Private interment will be in the Easton Union Cemetery.
