Carmella (Dolly) V. Pento Crowley, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Clifford V. Crowley passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center, Stratford.  Born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Domenick and Antoinette Gaeta Pento, she was a long time Trumbull resident. Dolly was a dedicated volunteer and employee of St. Theresa Church, her home parish for many years. She was active with the CCD program, and many knew her as the secretary at the church office. She held almost every position in St. Theresa's Confraternity of the Rosary managing craft fairs, tag sales, raffles, dinners and elections. As a member of the Parish Council she was involved in most every event at the church. She was also active with the Seniors and the Prayer Shawl Group. Dolly was a recipient of the St. Augustine Medal of Service for her generous service to St. Theresa Church. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was the beloved mother of Dawn Kail of Trumbull, Dale J. Crowley of Spokane, WA and Cindy Crowley of Shelton who predeceased her, July 2015; also survived by loving sister and brothers, Jeanne Scalo of Trumbull, Domenic Pento of IL, and Vincenzo Pento of Trumbull, five cherished grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dolly was predeceased by two brothers Nicholas and Nunzio. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:45 a.m. from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gotham Place, Trumbull and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
