Carmella Bonitatibus Paumi, age 93, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Joseph Paumi, died Saturday, November 1, 2008, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, she was the daughter of John and Rose Lancia Bonitatibus. Mrs. Paumi retired as a waitress for 3030 Park Ave. She was active in cub scouting with her sons serving as a den mother and very proud of the college education her children went on to receive. Mrs. Paumi enjoyed her flowers, gardens, time spent keeping her lawn looking beautiful, knitting, sewing and crocheting; but most of all the holidays and family gatherings with the one's she loved. She is survived by her devoted and loving children, Mary R. Butler, Joanne R. Paumi and Esther M. Paumi, all of Bridgeport, Joseph Paumi III and wife Cheri of Eaton Rapids, MI and David Paumi and wife Denise of Danbury, a sister, Gloria Lyons of FL, four grandchildren, Christian, Damien, Elliot and Melissa, two great grandchildren, Jade and Kylie and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margaret's Shrine, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
