Carmen Luisa Aponte, age 63 of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Carmen was born in Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Carmello and Anna Luisa Aponte. She was a retired inspector for the Harvey Hubbell Company. Survivors include her daughter, Maribella Lopez- Colon and husband Gabriel, three grandchildren; Melina, Angelo and Gabriel Colon, a sister Maria M. Aponte, a bother Anibal Aponte, nephews and nieces; Ivan Gutierrez and wife Kamille, Melissa Quintana and husband David, Karina Morales, Anibal Aponte, Jr., Denise Aponte, Emely Teixeria, Ronnie Aponte, and great nephews Joseph Martinez and Evan Gutierrez. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:30a.m., meeting directly in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Pilgrimage Mausoleum, with Msgr. Aniceto Villamide, officiating.
