Carmen D. LaGaipa Sr., of Milford, passed away on November 15, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.  Carmen was born on October 11, 1960 in Bridgeport, to Lorraine LaGaipa and the late Carmen S. LaGaipa.  Carmen was a Master Craftsman in carpentry and primarily ran his own business working as a General Contractor. Carmen enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbecuing and playing pool.  He had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. Carmen had an appreciation for the simple things in life, such as good food, Sunday drives, a warm fire, traveling and iconic New England scenery.  Survivors include his son Carmen D. LaGaipa Jr. and wife Johanna, a daughter Sabrina Dressler and husband Jeffrey, five grandchildren, mother Lorraine LaGaipa, and a brother Albert LaGaipa and wife Martha.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
