CHARLENE A. (YOUNG) TANTALO, age 68, of New Haven CT., passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Charlene was born in Trumbull, CT. on September 23, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Burr J. Young and Nadine (VandenBerg) Young. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Nicole Marie Tantalo, her husband of 41 years, Joseph M. Tantalo, Jr., and her sister, Laura Young. She is survived by her sons, Joseph P. Tantalo of New York, and Michael S. Tantalo of New Haven, her cherished grandson, Teodoro Burr Fischer-Tantalo (Joseph and AraBella) of New York, and her sister, Christine Pavelo and husband, Guy, of Watertown, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, who were all near and dear to her. Charlene graduated from Trumbull High School and attended University of New Haven. She worked as a bank manager and paralegal. Throughout her life, and throughout any adversity, Charlene was always kind and gentle towards every one she met. She had the patience of a saint and the smile of an angel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Theresa's Church 5301 Main Street in Trumbull, CT., on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, CT.
