Charles Ferris, of Bridgeport, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Charles was born in Bridgeport, son of the late Michael and Rose Bisciere Ferris. He retired as manager of mail services for  American Chain and Cable and had also worked for the former Columbia Records and Schick Corp. He loved big band music, his feline friends Suzie and Baby and supported several charitable organizations. Charles was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Jean Ferris and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mamie and Frank Hogan and  his beloved Adella Chiasson, who he was caregiver to for many years and husband Martin and a nephew Robert A. Landone. A person with a great sense of humor, "Uncle Charlie" is survived by three nephews and two nieces, Ronald Porter of Bridgeport, Martin J. Chiasson and wife Gail of Southbury, Nora Brown and husband Norman of Stratford, Buddy Hogan of Stratford and Janet Landone and her companion Robert Lisi of Bridgeport, two great nieces and a great nephew, Lisa Landone of Trumbull, Keith Chiasson of Texas and Michele Chiasson of Wilton; also special friends, Linda Ziron of Bridgeport, Lorrie Wesoly of Trumbull and Robert Michaels of Bridgeport. Uncle Charlie devoted his life to caring for those he loved. A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Good Counsel will be announced at a later date. Interment will be private.
