Charles J. Hoeflich, age 84 of Shelton died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Marie Perry Hoeflich. Born in Bridgeport he was a longtime Fairfield resident before moving to Asbury Ridge in Shelton. Mr. Hoeflich was a U.S. Naval Veteran serving during World War II as a radioman. He saw action in the Mediterranean Theatre and was stationed in Cuba. He was a realtor in the Bridgeport area for many years and later warehouse manager for Horowitz Bros. Fabrics in New Haven. Survivors in addition to his wife include four sons, Kirk Hoeflich and his wife Pauline of Branford, Paul J. Hoeflich, Scott Hoeflich of Naugatuck, and Thomas Hoeflich and his wife Monique of Langley,Washington, nine grandchildren, Gretchen, Evan, Mark, Amelia, Kathleen, Celeste, Miranda, Ryland and Eileen, and several nieces and nephews. His sisters, Roberta Wilcke and Delores MacIvor predeceased him. Private funeral services were held on Saturday. Contributions in Charles' memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
