Charles V. Picone, age 96, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Edith De Zenzo Picone, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2011 in Shelton. Charlie was born October 29, 1914, son of the late Celestine Pascucci and Patsy Picone. He was employed for more than 40 years at Textron in Stratford. Charlie and Edith were former members of the Italian Community Center and the Germania-Schwaben Society. Charlie is survived by his sister and brother, Rose Higgins of Shelton, and Frank Picone of Florida, niece Judith Travers, nephew Jim Higgins, several grand nieces and nephews, and his wife's niece Lucille Sul. In addition to his beloved wife and parents he is predeceased by his sister and brothers, Mary Reap and Dominic, Pat, and James Picone. The family wishes to thank his physician Frank Ciminiello, MD and the staff at St. Vincent ER and ICU, and Shelton Lakes. They would also like to thank his compassionate caregiver Betty Henderson.
