Charles J. Pulaski, age 85, of Shelton, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Bridgeport Hospital. The son of the late Joseph and Mary Pavelko Pulaski, he was raised in Monroe and graduated from Bassick High School. Charles was the retired owner of Char – Ral Salon of Bridgeport and later Charles' Beauty Salon of Trumbull. An Army Veteran of World War II, he served with the infantry in France, Italy and Germany. Charles was a longtime member of the Bridgeport Garden Club. Survivors include his beloved sister, Marilyn Garamella of Monroe, his longtime companion Mario Oquendo and longtime friend, Edward Bockee, both of whom resided with Charles, two nephews, James Garamella and Mark Garamella and wife Charlene, his niece, Linda Garamella Fusco and husband Michael, all residing in Shelton ; he also leaves several cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 9:00 am, from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00 am in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe, with full military honors. Friends may call Tuesday (TODAY), 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
