Obituary

Charles Roger Bond age 82 passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on December 3, 1942, Charles was the first of ten children of the late Charles B. and Jeannette (Parshall) Bond. He was a lifetime resident of Bridgeport.

He graduated from St. Augustine's Grammar School (1956) and Central High School (1960).

He served in the U.S. Army 2nd Battalion of the 16th Infantry of the Big Red One serving 10 months in Vietnam.

He worked at Universal Construction Raybestos Manufacturing 13 ½ years and Fairfield University Carpentry and Locksmith shops for 27 years. Retired in 2009.

"Uncle Charlie" enjoyed family picnics, holiday dinners, and Disney World trips.

He was a great fan of the Raybestos Brakettes, UConn Women's Basketball and the New York Yankees.

Survivors include his sisters Patricia Moore, Nancy Bond, Elizabeth Frostick, Marjory Lovar, Jeanne Bachard (Frank), sister-in-law Lois Bond, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers William Bond and Thomas Bond, brothers-in-law Harry Frostick and Paul Lovar.

Funeral Service calling hours will be at Redgate Funeral Home Sunday, September 21st from 4pm - 7pm with a Prayer Service at 6pm. Burial at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield on Monday September 22 at 11am with Military Honors.
