Christian L. Nelson III, age 67 of Bridgeport passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Christian L. Nelson Jr. and Marilyn L. Klingler Nelson. Chris worked as a longshoreman at the Bridgeport and New Haven terminals. He was a member of Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Chris was a sponsor for 30 years in A.A. with the Unity Group in Bridgeport. He is survived by his beloved partner of 40 years, Gail Brennan, his sisters, JoAnn Dos Santos and her husband Lee and Jennifer Carter and her husband, Chris and his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Loris Nelson. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 meeting directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial.
