Christine M. Walsh, beloved wife of the late Bridgeport Superintendent of Police Joseph A. Walsh, peacefully passed away on April 23, 2011 in the home of her granddaughter Cathleen Walsh Denault and her husband John Denault and their wonderful children Ian and Colleen and her canine buddies Buster and Molly. Christine was born in Fairfield on August 3,1915.  Her devoted children, Joseph A. Walsh and his wife Patricia of Seymour, Christine Mitchell and her husband Stephen of Bridgeport and daughter-in-law Marilyn Walsh of Fairfield survive her. Her son George predeceased her. Her grandchildren are Bonny Ryan and her husband Foster, Kevin Walsh and his wife Denise, Robin Billmeyer and her husband Blake, Joseph Walsh, Cathleen Denault and her husband John, Joseph Walsh III and his wife Deborah, Katherine M. Holmes and her husband Nathan, and Zachary W. Mitchell, great grandchildren, Connor and Kyle Walsh, Megan and Emily Billmeyer, Shannon and Joseph Walsh, Ian and Colleen Denault, Caroline and Sarah Walsh, Jackson and Paige Holmes. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Today) at 10:00am meeting directly in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours will be private.
