Obituary

Clara Anna Eisenman Murphy Beaudoin, age 92 passed away on September 19, 2009 at Hospice in Branford. She was born in Bridgeport on August 23, 1917 to the late Charles and Clara (Dobry) Eisenman. She was employed by the Southern New England Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator and the Bridgeport Brass where she was Head of Communications. On October 1, 1945 she married her longtime friend and first love Robert T. Murphy at St. Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport. Clara and Bob are survived by four children and their spouses Margaret and David Sadlier; Marilyn and Gerry Mucci; Teresa and John Moran; and Robert and Christine Murphy, eleven wonderful grandchildren, Gregory, Laura, Mathew Mucci, David and Cate Sadlier, Rob, Abbey, Lyndsey Murphy, and Louis, Jennifer, and Ellen Manfredi, twelve great grandchildren, Marisa, Madison, Bailey, Walt, Ada, Bronwyn, Nicholas, Rob, Matthew, Jianna, Mia, and Frankie. Clara was predeceased by Bob on December 2, 1970. On May 23, 1981 Clara married Harold "Bud" Beaudoin of Saratoga, California. She then moved to California where she lived 25 years. Clara and Bud moved back to Connecticut in 2004. Clara was predeceased by Bud on August 17, 2006. She is survived by Bud's eight children and their families of California. Predeceased by her sister Katherine Boyce and brothers Karl and Albert Eisenman, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her cousins Helen Eisenman, Joan Pirozzoli and Holly Sweeney. Being a devout catholic, mom's life was guided by her strong faith in God. She had many hobbies and enjoyed sewing quilts for homeless children and her own grandchildren, playing bridge and Michigan Rummy with her lady friends, bowling, gardening and most importantly she enjoyed meeting people and keeping her home a warm and welcoming place of comfort. She was a member of St. Theresa Church and Ladies Guild, Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga, CA and volunteered for the Sisters of the Holy Rosary Novitiate. Please join us in the Celebration of Clara's Life Monday, at 11:00 a.m. direct in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Sunday, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
