Consuelo (Connie) Ahern was born October 3, 1923 in Honduras and passed away in Greenacres, Florida on July 3, 2018, with her loving daughter by her side.  She is pre-deceased by her husband James Sr., her son James Jr., and two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by daughter Connie, her grandchildren Jennifer Ahern-Dodson and husband Craig, James Ahern III, Christopher Ahern and wife Jennifer, and great grandchildren Elizabeth and Lilian Dodson and Makenna and Chase Ahern. Consuelo also is survived by sister Amanda Staffy and her husband Steve, sister-in-law Doris Ahern, and brother-in-law Iladen Laureano and many loving nieces and nephews. Consuelo's passion was her family. She also loved to read, go to the casino, play poker with friends and family, watch sports, and go on long walks. She walked 3 miles every day except Sunday for forty-five years. She raised her family in Bridgeport and later enjoyed living in Miami, Florida and Peoria, Arizona. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00am in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St. Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
