Cynthia Graham Foothorap, daughter of John and Isabel Graham, passed away on June 26, 2009 at the age of 69. Cyndy was a dedicated mother who was a tireless advocate for the Town of Fairfield. A resident for over 43 years her love for the town never wavered. Cyndy was a longtime active member of the Black Rock Congregational Church. Her volunteer career included acting as the President of the Fairfield Association of Educational Secretaries, Vice-Chairperson of A.B.C.D and serving on the Fairfield Board of Education. She was the recipient of the United Way Community Builder Award and a graduate of the Fairfield Citizen Police Academy. A loyal Republican Cyndy participated extensively in local politics. She held elected positions as the Republican Town Committee (RTC) Treasurer, Treasurer for Representative Jack Stone and Republican Town Meeting (RTM) Representative. When she wasn't working or volunteering she spent her time at her "Heaven on Earth", Lake Winnipesaukee passing time boating and relaxing in the "delightful" water. Cyndy leaves behind a loving husband, Harry A. Foothorap II and two children, Lori Foothorap Fike of Charlotte, NC, and Harry A. Foothorap III and wife Eva of Shelton, four grandchildren, Caitlin Foothorap, Anna Louise Fike, Thomas Fike, and Haley Foothorap, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 3:00pm in the Black Rock Congregational Church, 3685 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield.
