Daniel P. Rubin, Sr., age 50 of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011, in St. Vincent's Medical Center, surrounded by family. Daniel was born in Bridgeport son of Israel Rubin and the late Theresa Belford Rubin. He had worked for the Yudkin family who operated the Modern Book / Associated Book Sellers, and was formerly employed with the City of Bridgeport and Oronoque Country Club. Survivors in addition to his father, Israel include; his beloved companion Francine Connery of Bridgeport, two sons Daniel P. Rubin, Jr. and Derek A. Rubin, both of Naugatuck, two daughters, Danielle L. Rubin of Terryville, and Theresa Rubin of Bridgeport, his former wife Doreen Paolucci of Naugatuck, three brothers David P., Jonathon P. and Jason P. Rubin and wife Andrea, all of Bridgeport, two sisters Elaine Rubin-Kondysar of Vermont, and Abigail Rubin of Bridgeport, one granddaughter AnaLeyce M. Restrepo, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his mother, Theresa, he was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Mark, and Joseph Rubin. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 10:30a.m., in St. Patrick Church, 851 North Avenue, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
