David Carbonella, age 71 of Seymour passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Kathy Seres Carbonella. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Buddy and Florence Nutcher Carbonella. David graduated from Amity Regional High School and Sacred Heart University. He was a partner with Carbonella and DeSarbo Wholesale Produce in New Haven and later a sales manager for the Scap Auto group. David was an active volunteer at Our Lady of the Assumption Church most notably as Co-Chair of the Annual SeptemberFest for many years. In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his loving daughters, Meeghan Truss and her husband, Mike and Elizabeth Stefan and her husband Chris, and four grandchildren, Giuliana, Phoebe, Tucker, and Lola, his sister in law, Christine Gisolfi and nephew Gregory Gisolfi. He was predeceased by his brother in law, Albert Gisolfi. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd. Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call Wednesday 4 - 7 PM in the Redgate Hennessy, Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
