Dolores Hawley Braisted, age 83 of Shelton died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald K. Braisted and mother of the late Mark H. Braisted. Born in Bridgeport, Mrs. Braisted was a Trumbull resident for over 40 years until moving to Shelton 8 years ago. She was a longtime member of the Canoe Brook Bowling League and enjoyed playing cards with her May I group. Survivors include her loving children, Lisa Bernier and her husband Thom of Concord, CA, Susan McGrath and her husband Kevin of Milford, Heidi Schneider of Mount Holly, VT, Eric K. Braisted and his wife Catherine of Shelton, and Kirsten Rousseau and her husband Leon of Beacon Falls, grandchildren, William, Amy, Katie, Kevin Jr., Erin, Eric, and Sarah, great grandchildren, Ella and Brie, brothers Robert and Gordon Hawley, sister Grace Ryder and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and son, she was predeceased by her sisters, Blanche and Virginia and brothers, Harry and Edward. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00am meeting directly in Trumbull Congregational Church with Reverend Paul Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery.
